“While Elon speaks ill of the economy, investment increases” – El Financiero

The United States President Joe Biden, renewed his feud with Elon Musk, dismissing the billionaire’s warnings about the economy and wishing him luck with his company’s adventures in space.

Via email, Musk warned tesla executives that it has a “super bad feeling” about the US economy and needs to cut its staff by about 10 percent, according to a Archyde.com report.

When asked about it on Friday, Biden shared announcements from companies that have pledged to expand their operations and hire staff.

“As Elon Musk talks about it, Ford is overwhelmingly increasing its investment” in building electric vehicles with unionized employees, Biden said. He cited other investments, including Intel, to rebuff Musk’s warnings about the economy.

“So, best of luck on your trip to the moon,” Biden said.

Musk was quick to respond to him on Twitter, the social media platform he’s looking to buy. “thank you mr president!” he wrote, with a link to a NASA statement about their SpaceX deal to go to the moon.

The two have a cold relationship. Biden often touts the achievements of automakers besides Tesla, which does not have a unionized workforce. Musk, in turn, has complained that the government is working against his efforts and has said that he will vote Republican in the next election.
