White rice damage – a nutritionist warns: it contains a dangerous substance

White rice is one of the main dishes on the table of many people, who accept it in large quantities, without paying attention to the fact that its excess may negatively affect the health of the body.

In this regard, Dr. Lauren Manaker, a nutritionist, said that white rice is one of the foods that are beneficial to human health, provided that it is eaten in moderation.

Manaker explained that white rice plays a major role in supplying the body with energy, vitality and activity, due to its high carbohydrate content, according to the “Russia Today” website.

The nutritionist added that white rice also helps to strengthen the bones of the body and protect them from fractures and fragility, thanks to its high content of manganese.

However, Manaker warned about a toxin found in white rice, called arsenic, noting that high levels of it in the body have serious health consequences.

And she revealed a relationship between a lot of rice and an increased risk of metabolic syndrome, a group of health problems, including “high blood sugar, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and an increase in waist circumference.”
