120 international players this season in the NBA, players who come from 40 different countries. Each of the 30 franchises of the Great League today has its international(s). Even stronger, for the past few seasons, a few space zinzins have started to impose themselves as… the bosses of the League. Giannis Antetokounmpo is double-MVP, DPOY and MVP of the Finals, Nikola Jokic is double-MVP, Rudy Gobert is triple-DPOY, Joel Embiid is the top scorer in the League and some youngsters (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and, above all, Luka Doncic ) no longer go a week without sticking 40 two or three times.
Americans ? An infinite talent of course, more depth perhaps, but today when it comes to knowing where the four or five best basketball players on the planet come from… the map of the United States is no longer enough. So interesting to talk regarding it a bit over a coffee, to do this little inventory of the NBA in 2023, while waiting for a certain VW from next season…
