He finished high school at Colegio Nuestra Señora del Pilar de Cali, a school where he began teaching classes while studying his first professional career at Universidad Santiago de Cali. In that institution she was a professor for 11 years.
This 53-year-old woman has dedicated much of her life to academia. In 2011 assumed as rector of the Virtual and Distance Uniminutoa position in which he managed to launch some agreements with foreign universities and achieve certification of 35 programs.
While in that position, the former mayor of Bucaramanga, Rodolfo Hernández, made the decision to invite her to be part of the presidential campaign as his presidential formula.
Also, Castillo is the author and co-author of several articles and texts related to virtual and distance education, as well as learning environments.. The engineer landed in the electoral contest in March after the journalist Paola Ochoa, who had agreed to be Hernández’s formula, renounced her aspiration.
