Who leads the SPÖ? Lindner wants early party congress

SPÖ leader Pamela Rendi-Wagner wants to convene a special party executive committee next week at the latest to talk regarding “all the open questions”. Questions regarding the losses in the past state elections in Carinthia and Lower Austria, but also regarding the leadership debate. “We need such a presidency,” says Upper Austria’s SPÖ boss Michael Lindner in an interview with the OÖ Nachrichten. “We need to discuss our course of action.” First, however, the state elections on April 23 would have to be held.
