This whole saga began on March 15, when Goldberg, Sunny Hostin and the other co-hosts were live on television for their popular talk show, The View. During a brief moment of silence, Whoopi Goldberg allegedly accidentally let out a “loud” flatulence, which created mild awkwardness around the table, quickly followed by uncontrollable giggles.

Indeed, the incident allegedly happened when she was apparently “expiring”.

Uncomfortable, Whoopi Goldberg quickly stuttered that “it was gas”, which prolonged the giggles of the co-hosts, to the technical team, to the public, who were in the front row of the situation.

In a recent episode of Watch What Happens Livehosted by Andy Cohenthe latter received Sunny Hostin on the set of his talkshow and asked him who, among his co-hosts of The View, emitted intestinal gas most often. Hostin was quick to reply that it was definitely Whoopi.

This story certainly gained momentum when Goldberg once again had to address the incident on a recent episode of The Viewexpressing the wish that the gossip about his alleged flatulence end.

“Why did you tell everyone I farted all the time?” the actress asked. Sister Act to his colleague.

Finally, although she quickly admitted it on the air on March 15, Goldberg seems to have regretted her confession, which had a real snowball effect in the media. Recently, she corrected the situation by saying that the noise heard was actually the sound of her cup bouncing on the table around which the hostesses are seated. Response that left the public skeptical.

Only the sound team knows the absolute truth.

Or, le New York Post argues that following the allegations of flatulence noises, “the production added coasters to the table so the co-hosts wouldn’t be blamed for making these unfamiliar noises.”
