The Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater has canceled the performance of singer Anna Netrebko, which was scheduled for June 2. The theater explained the cancellation by Netrebko’s position on the military special operation in Ukraine.
– Yesterday, the artist made a statement condemning the actions of our state. Living in Europe and the opportunity to perform at European venues turned out to be more important for her than the fate of the Motherland. Today is not the time to sacrifice principles for more comfortable living conditions. Now is the time to make a choice, – stated on the official website of the opera.
