Dr. Hossam Mowafi, a professor of critical cases at Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine in Egypt, revealed that dizziness while standing is a warning sign of some diseases.
Mowafi said during the presentation of the “My Lord, Increase Me Knowledge” program, broadcast on “Sada Al-Balad” channel: “Dizziness when standing indicates a problem with the tenth nerve, or the so-called vagus nerve, because this nerve located throughout the body is responsible for feeling with balance.”
He continued, “Dizziness when standing also indicates that you have high blood pressure.”
He explained, “Therefore, it is necessary to visit the specialist doctor as soon as you feel it, to determine the cause and prescribe the appropriate treatment.”
