‘Why include Rajat Patidar when Sanju is there?’; Former New Zealand player with criticism

Former New Zealand player Simon Doole has questioned the decision to include Rajat Patidar in the Indian squad for the Bangladesh tour. He asked why Patidar was chosen when Sanju Samson was there. Simon Doole also opined that Sanju should have been included in the squad for the ODI series against Bangladesh.

“I know they like Rajat Patidar but India have many other batsmen. Sanju Samson is a talented batsman but he has not been included in the squad. Why was Patidar included in the team when he was? Samson could have been selected instead of Rajat Patidar…” – said Doole in support of the Rajasthan Royals skipper.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, who were rested in the New Zealand series, have returned to the team. Hardik Pandya has not been included in the Indian squad for the Bangladesh tour. Rajat Patidar, Rahul Tripathi and many other players have made it to the team. New star Yash Dayal also got a chance. The Bangladesh tour will consist of three ODIs and two Test matches. The first ODI will be played in Dhaka on December 4.
