The airport is the first place tourists come into contact with the host country. It is therefore supposed to convey a positive image of the country in which foreign visitors are going to spend their holidays. However, the reception conditions are catastrophic within the airport: endless queues, administrative procedures… The infrastructure is not doing any better. The large fountain at Tunis-Carthage airport is in a pitiful state and would benefit from better maintenance. Efforts are expected to work towards the success of the tourist season, which looks promising.
