Since the two have been in a relationship, they never appear at public events with each other. Ryan and Eva have agreed that they will not do such things together. Ryan appeared on Sunday evening with his sister and mother by his side, while Eva was likely watching from home with their two daughters.
During the promotional tour of Barbie Eva was also asked whether she would appear at Ryan’s side once more. She said at the time: “We don’t do things like that together. I just feel comfortable sharing photos of us with the world that have been taken before.” The reason for this, she says, is very simple. “I have no desire to completely expose our private life, which we value so much.”
“We walked the red carpet together once and that was when we filmed our film The Place Beyond the Pines were promoting,” she explains further. This is the film in which the two met, following which their relationship started.
The fact that the two were not spotted together during the Oscars does not mean that Eva does not support her husband. She was indeed present during the rehearsals, as she shows in this Instagram post:
