The Venezuelan said that she was convinced, but in the first seconds of the interview she knew that they had not believed her that she owned her own company.
The businesswoman Nahirelys Peralta narrated through her TikTok account the moment in which a consular officer from the United States Embassy in Venezuela denied her a visa despite having been so sure that they were going to give it to her. She pointed out that she did not believe anything about her life.

The Venezuelan, who experienced the same situation as a Peruvian a few weeks ago, owns an agency and a sportswear brand in her country. She said that she arrived at the embassy very early and that she was convinced that the document would be approved, but everything changed from the first moments in which she went to the interview.
The outlook for her changed from hope to despair in just a few seconds, when she saw the face of who was going to interview her. “When I went to the interview, the guy had a super bitter face […] The person in front of me didn’t even last five seconds at the box office, they asked him a question and they approved it,” he said.
Regarding the interview, Peralta says that they asked her about the reason for the trip, to which she replied that it was for business and tourism. From then on everything was gray and she believes that she was not given her visa because she did not believe that she owned her own company.

“He asks me about work and I answer that I am the director of my company. Her response was: ‘And how is it possible that you are so young the director of the agency?’ I didn’t see that coming“he added. Despite not being entirely comfortable, she replied that She studied very young, worked and opened the agency herself. “He looked at me like ‘I don’t believe you’ and I said ‘OK, here it was, there’s no way anymore'”, he continued narrating in the video posted on their social media.
But in addition, they also asked him about the number of people in the company and despite the fact that he did not expect the question, he replied that there were five. “Did you travel recently?” Was the next one, to which she answered yes, that she had gone to Madrid, but the agent again questioned her in disbelief.
“And who covers all these expenses?” He continued, to which she replied that she herself. Finally, they asked her how much she earned and after answering, the agent continued in disbelief. “He did not ask me for any documentation, I had my folder with the commercial registry, the account statement and I did not want to be thrown and say ‘but look here is this’, because they told me not to do it for prevention.”
Then, he asked her if she has relatives in the United States, her answer was negative. “His face, his expression was always super weird, like ‘I’m not convinced’. She wouldn’t even let me answer her because he would cut me off and ask me another question,” he recounted the seconds before they told him that for the moment they would not approve his visa.
Finally, she reflected and said even though she was surprised, she didn’t take it the wrong way. “It’s incredible, because I want to do everything right, I show all my documentation, everything I have in Venezuela, that I don’t want to go live there and despite that, she denied it. But she tried. Take all this into account because what happened to me and can happen to you“, concluded the businesswoman.
