The traditional format of the driving license which was previously valid for an unlimited period is indeed set to disappear from the portfolio of the French.
Since 2013, all the Member States of the European Community have adopted a more secure bank card format, valid for 15 years.
Until now, the two versions therefore coexisted without concern… but this is only transitory. The legislator has indeed set the end of validity of the pink paper on January 19, 2033.

So there’s no need to rush to the official portal of theNational Agency for Secured Titles (ANTS). Until further notice, you can only request a new driving license in the event of damage, loss or theft.
