Wigald Boning wants “to go to the Zugspitze in high heels”

The TV comedian and presenter Wigald Boning (55, “RTL Saturday Night”) is looking for new challenges. “I definitely want to go up the Zugspitze in heels,” he told the private radio station Hit Radio FFH in Bad Vilbel near Frankfurt. He has already made two attempts, but ended both early. “I would like to realize this adventure again.”

Boning knows his way around running: According to his own statement, he completed a total of 52 marathons last year “to show that it is worth tackling even the greatest of challenges”. At the beginning of the project, his father thought he was crazy. But then the two would have completed a marathon together, the father in a wheelchair. For Boning it was “the absolute total emotional highlight of this entire running project,” he said. “Everything before was worth it.”
