At Bethlehem Dayara High School in East Kambalam, the dog regularly looks for a friend. The dog was abandoned here when the breeders sold their house in East Kambalam and moved to Alappuzha. The child at home was educated at Dayara High School. The dog that followed when the child went to school knew exactly what school was. Experienced children and teachers at the school say that this is the reason why the dog came to the school in search of the child.
Although the dog was friendly with the children at the school, the school authorities contacted the kindness activists after the dog’s constant closeness caused problems at the school. Daya Co-ordinator Ambili Puraikkal said efforts are underway to trace the family who raised the dog. If the owner cannot be found, the dog will be handed over to those who are willing to take it over, he said.
