Windows 10 22H2, the final milestone is reached, Microsoft promises an extended set of features

Windows 11 is now the big star of the Microsoft catalog. Fortunately, Windows 10 remains relevant and is supported at least until October 2025.

This means that the operating system will continue to receive security updates, bug fixes and improvements. New functionalities are even envisaged in order to enrich and improve its environment and its experience. On the other hand, it is almost certain that no major changes are planned.

Currently Microsoft is working on its next feature update known as Windows 10 22H2. This version has just landed on the Release Preview channel of the Windows Insider program. This is an important step, announcing a “general public” launch in a short time. This publication was accompanied by an interesting message as the giant promises that this update will offer an extended set of features. Unfortunately, the revelations stop there. Clearly we have no details on this content. We do not know what these famous features are.

Redmond only specifies

“This release is focused on validating maintenance technology. Windows 10 22H2 has an expanded feature set and Microsoft will share more details about this update later this year. »

If the impatience is unbearable, you can now discover and test this new version of Windows 10. Simply register on the Windows Insider program and download it via the Release Preview channel.

On this subject Microsoft adds

“We’re also making this build available to any Windows Insider registered in the Release Preview channel through our ‘seeker’ experience in Windows Update. This means users currently enrolled in the Release Preview channel can go to Settings and Windows Update and choose to download and install Windows 10 22H2 if they wish. Once a user updates their PC to Windows 10 22H2, they will continue to receive new servicing updates automatically through Windows Update (the typical monthly update process). »

For the moment we have no precise date concerning the General public deployment. It is likely that the appointment will be set for next September or October.
