The August 2023 Patch Tuesday begins. Microsoft deploys several Windows cumulative updates to close security vulnerabilities. We have improvements and bug fixes. Here’s everything you need to remember.

Like every second Tuesday of each month, the software giant carries out major maintenance of its software ecosystem. This includes its operating systems including Windows 10 and Windows 11.

The different cumulative updates released are available through different distribution channels. It is possible to download them manually in order to perform offline installations. We provide you with all the necessary links. Note that the other products affected by this Patch Tuesday are Microsoft Office, Microsoft Edge, SQL Server, ASP.NET and Microsoft Exchange Server.

Windows and the August 2023 Patch Tuesday

Windows 10 21H2 and 22 H2 are victims of 32 vulnerabilities, 3 of which are considered critical. They all relate to Microsoft Message Queuing with the consequence of being able to execute code remotely. These are flaws CVE-2023-35385, CVE-2023-36910 et CVE-2023-36911.

On the side of Windows 11 21H2 and 22H2, Microsoft seals 33 vulnerabilities, 3 of which are of critical severity and 30 of high severity. The critical flaws are the same as those affecting Windows 10.
