Windows 11 preview released as part of the Windows Insider Program
A new Preview of Windows 11 arrives through the Windows insider program. This build 23471 targets PCs registered on the Dev channel. It introduces several new features and fixes many bugs.
Microsoft offers a lot of things. We have bug fixes and several interesting new features. One of the most striking concerns the file explorer and more precisely Gallery.
A new feature has appeared. It allows you to add photos from a phone in a simple and fast way. There is a new button in the command bar called “Add photos from phone” which allows you to configure the PC to display these photos in the gallery. By clicking on it a URL is opened with a QR code that it will be possible to identify with the smartphone to start the operation.
Note that it is no longer necessary to activate the OneDrive Insider program to obtain a OneDrive synchronization client version that manages the protocol called when you click on this button.
New natural voices in Spanish (Spain and Mexico) are available for the narrator. It makes it easier to browse the web, read and write mail, and more. They use on-device text-to-speech and once downloaded they are supported without an internet connection.
The network flyout on the lock screen is updated to adopt the design and style of Windows 11. The file explorer improves its management of tabs with, for example, the possibility of merging them. On the other hand, this novelty is only beginning to be deployed. It is therefore not available for all PCs registered on the Dev channel.
The “Gallery” in File Explorer, which first appeared with the release of Windows 11 Build 23435, is now available to all PCs in the Dev channel. Finally Microsoft announces a new option at this address
Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular.
It allows the use of mobile Internet access if the available Wi-Fi is poor.
