A Microsoft accidentally made the link of a tool that releases Hidden Features in Windows 11 in version Preview. In this sense, the program makes it possible to access tools that are still under development for engineers and system testers.

The name of the application in question is StagingTool and your link appeared in the documentation of two “bug bash” published not Windows Feedback Hub before being removed. Still, the program can now be used by any Windows Insider who wants to unlock these SO attributes.

In practical terms, the way this application works is very similar to the Command Prompt of the operating system itself. That is, there is a command-line text interface that can activate functions by knowing the identifiers, which are not necessarily published on GitHub.

It is worth remembering that there are other programs that have the same type of premise, such as Mach2 and the ViveTool, but both are unofficial apps. Therefore, this option would give the possibility to release these hidden resources through an official tool from Microsoft itself.

Microsoft is even preparing the next major update of its operating system, which should keep some highlights, such as Copilot, the company’s artificial intelligence service. The company’s objective is to transform it into a center integrated with other applications.
