The Xbox Game Bar in Windows 11 is a powerful tool for gamers. It includes a variety of built-in features for screen recording, performance monitoring and much more.

It can also be enhanced with widgets, and by the way, the latest widget, Microsoft Teams Play Together, brings video calling and screen sharing right to the Xbox Game Bar.

The folks at MSPowerUser spotted Microsoft Teams Play Together in the Microsoft Store, indicating that the app is now live.

Xbox Game Bar and Microsoft Teams (free) have partnered to give you and your friends a place to gather while you watch and play. You will have to create or sign into your personal Microsoft account to get the Teams Play Together widget.

Share your game screen through Teams while gaming on a Windows 11 PC and keep the conversation going with video calls you’ll see through the Game Bar video overlay

Basically, Microsoft Teams Play Together is a platform where users can interact via chat or video when they are playing, being a possible competitor to Discord.

Additionally, users have the ability to add other people to the call by inviting them to attend. However, it’s worth noting that you must create or sign in to your personal Microsoft account to access the new entry, as highlighted in the app’s description in the Microsoft Store.

Microsoft has listed the top deals provided with the widget:

See friends’ videos overlaid on top of the game Generate and share a link with anyone on any device Up to 20 people can join your call Continue post-call conversation via chat

So what do you think of this new feature?
