Windows 11: new version makes microphone testing easier and allows users to hear themselves

In its most recent version released on the developer channel, Windows 11 gained new functionality to facilitate user microphone testing.

Now, in addition to having a visual response for testing the piece of hardware, the user You can hear the results of your test recording through the settings menu itself.

To do this, in the new version of the Microsoft system, simply access the menu settings > System > As and, in Microphone Test, click on “Start Test”. After saying something into the microphone, stop the test and tap play to hear the results of your recording.

This way, you can see how your voice is sounding before you even enter the calling or voice recording applications. And for microphones that provide extra effects, you can hear how those effects match your voice before you even use them.

The functionality arrives in build number 26052 of Windows 11 made available to developers and is an excellent addition to the recently announced Voice Clarity – which arrived on Windows with the aim of filtering the user’s voice, increasing the clarity of voice recording in meetings and recordings.
