After a limited testing period since February, Microsoft began releasing support for the iOS system, on iPhones, in the Phone Link tool for Windows 11 users. update until mid-May.

The application allows you to synchronize calls, messages and contacts with your PC. please note that Microsoft offers the Phone Link supporting Android devices since 2015.

Once you have access to the feature, the easiest way to link your devices is to search for “Phone Link” in the Windows 11 search bar. For some users, support for iPhones still appears as an option in a more opaque tone, saying that the feature will be available soon.

The novelty does not arrive, however, without some limitations. As with the Insiders version, you won’t be able to use the feature to upload images and videos of your machine yet. Group messaging is also not supported yet. Also, the software works on a per-session basis, so your most recent messages will only be sent when your iPhone and PC are connected.

Microsoft’s feature got some updates at the end of last year – now the Messages, Photos, Apps and Calls sections are located in the upper area as tabs, while notifications are docked on the left side of the screen, still allowing you to respond to them directly. The icons have also changed and now information about the smartphone is displayed in a smaller area, but only the cell phone image has been reduced, optimizing the use of space on the screen.
