O Windows 11 ran on desktops and notebooks 42% of users of Steam in the month of February 2024. After a notable jump in January, the current system of Microsoft lost part of its audience on Valve’s gaming platform.

Steam’s February 2024 hardware survey report shows that Windows 11 is installed on 41.96% of all users who share their PC specs with Valve, representing a 2.28% reduction in compared to January.

In the annual comparison, Windows 11 had an increase of 9.9%, a considerable growth of almost 10%. Despite this, the Windows 10 continues to lead, although the gap between the two operating systems is constantly decreasing.

In February 2024, Windows 10 gained 2.76% on Steam, returning to 54.19%. Of course, there are still those who access Steam at older and now unsupported versionssuch as Windows 7, which has 0.57%, and Windows 8.1, which has 0.09%.
