A 37-year-old man from Wingst (Cuxhaven district) who had been missing since Saturday morning is dead, the police announced on Monday. According to a police spokesman, the man was found not far from his address on the Neuhaus-Bülkauer Canal in Wingst. The cause of death is unclear. But there is no evidence of external influence, said the spokesman. In addition to the police and fire brigade, sniffer dogs were also involved in the search.
