Winners at 37th National Games: Muhammad Anees Yahia, Priyanka Goswami, and More!

Panaji: Kerala’s Muhammad Anees Yahia wins gold in 37th National Games in Goa. Anees won the gold medal in the men’s long jump by jumping 8.15 meters. Karnataka’s S. Arya won silver with a jump of 7.89m and Tamil Nadu’s David won bronze with 7.76m.

Kerala’s Nirmal Sabu came in sixth place. Muhammad Anees jumped the gold jump at the last opportunity.

International star Priyanka Goswami also won gold. Uttar Pradesh’s Priyanka won gold in women’s 20 km walk. Priyanka finished in 1 hour 36 minutes 35 seconds. Maharashtra’s Sejal Anil Singh won the silver in 1 hour 41 minutes 13 seconds and Uttar Pradesh’s own Munita Prajapati won the bronze in 1 hour 42 minutes 24 seconds. In the men’s category, Avinash of Tamil Nadu won the gold in 46.88 seconds. Haryana’s Vikrant Panchal won the silver in 46.92 seconds and Maharashtra’s Rahul Ramesh Kadam won the bronze in 47.15 seconds. Kerala’s Rince Joseph came fourth.

Andhra Pradesh international Jyoti Yaraji won gold in women’s 100m hurdles with a national record. Yaraji ran in 13.22 seconds. Tamil Nadu’s Nithya Ramaraj won the silver in 13.36 seconds and Jharkhand’s Sapna Kumari the bronze in 13.42 seconds.

In the men’s category, Tejas Ashok Shirse of Maharashtra won gold with a meet record time of 13.71 seconds.
