For the 2022 medalists, the bonuses will be the same as those in Tokyo last summer. Olympic champions will receive 65,000 euros, silver medalists 25,000 euros and bronze medalists 15,000 euros. For athletes who do not belong to the high performance circle, defined by the Ministry of Sports, and earning less than 40,000 euros gross per year, an individual participation bonus will be paid to them, up to 4,000 euros.

The National Sports Agency (ANS) has also pledged, as for the Summer Games, to pay 35,000 euros to reward the coaches of gold medal-winning athletes, 15,000 euros for silver and 8,000 euros for bronze. In addition, the Minister in charge of Sports, Roxana Maracineanu, will travel to China from February 11 to 15 “to show her support for the French athletes in the running as well as their coaching staff, and show them the consideration of the State”. .
