Several candies have been recalled by Mars Wrigley Canada because they may contain a metallic thread embedded in the product or present in the pouch.
The brand announced on Friday the recall of certain varieties of SKITTLES® Gummies, STARBURST® Gummies and LIFE SAVERS® Gummies treats “due to the potential presence of a very fine metallic thread embedded in the treats or detached from the bag.”
Mars Wrigley Canada says it has received reports from consumers who have not been aware of any disease to date.
The products were reportedly distributed in Canada, the United States and Mexico.
