8BitDo has unveiled the wireless gamepad ‘8BitDo Ultimate Controller with Charging Dock’.
8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller is a product that can be used wirelessly through Bluetooth on a Windows PC and Nintendo Switch. It is also possible to connect a Windows PC wirelessly with a 2.4GHz frequency through a dedicated receiver.
The overall button arrangement is similar to that of the Xbox controller, but there are two more buttons at the bottom of the product to allow for more various operations. And by using the mobile app ‘Ultimate Software’, users can change the functions assigned to all buttons of the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth controller as desired with a smartphone. You can also adjust the vibration function and analog stick sensitivity, and create macros with button combinations.
The battery is equipped with a 1000mAh (milliampere) lithium-ion battery and can be used for about 22 hours after 2-3 hours of charging. Charging the battery is done by attaching the controller to the charging stand and connecting the USB-C cable.
The 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller measures 153.6 x 100.6 x 64.5mm and weighs 228g. It is priced at $69.99 (about KRW 96,000) and will be released on October 22nd.
