American skydiving legend Keith Edward Snyder broke his Guinness World Record for the most laps in a single parachute jump, with a total of 175 laps.

Snyder continued to break his world records during a parachute jump in Orange City, Virginia, as the Guinness Book of Records set the previous record of 160 laps in a jump he made over the pyramids, in the sky of Giza Governorate, Egypt in 2021.

It is strange that Snyder pledged, upon achieving his previous world achievement, to break his record, to fulfill his promise after only one year.

The then-American champion commented on his record-breaking, saying, “I would like to now challenge my own record. It’s already getting a little faster. But I want to increase this speed,” according to the Guinness World Records website.

In a video clip and documented by the encyclopedia on YouTube, Sanadir seemed able to increase his speed this year, increasing the number of laps of his rotation by 15 laps in his last jump.

Snyder is one of the few parachutists to practice jumping from a helicopter by attaching a board to their feet and spinning in the air, and has won several National Skydiving Championships in the United States.

Although this sport is terrifying for many, as it requires jumping from thousands of feet above the ground, “Snyder” seemed completely confident in the video documenting his latest record, which he commented on by saying, “Free jumping is not terrifying at all.”

He pointed out that he made his last jump from a height of 13,500 feet, thanks to continuous training, which removed any fear from him, and made the parachute jump spinning fun for him.

And “the control and experience needed to accomplish such work requires years of training to practice the mental and physical challenges that confront you,” thus summed up “Snyder” his journey with a sport whose recent records are registered exclusively in his name.

Known as a professional athlete after winning the US National Championships, Snyder gained fame at the annual X Games.

The X Games is a sports competition that has been organized by the American sports broadcasting company ESBN since 1995, and is concerned with “extreme sports” as dangerous.

However, the company removed the “skydiving spin” category from its annual event games, perhaps because Snyder removed the fear of many of them.
