With a false “Macedonian” in the battle of the “European elections” 2024-05-09 07:16:30

In those of 2019, his strength shrank to 0.71% and 40,211 votes. This year, the Muslim Equality Peace and Friendship Party (KIEF), led by the 37-year-old Tsindem (in Greek… Spasohorto!) Asafoglou, is once again entering the “battle” of the European elections, once again having the full support of the Turkish Consulate in Komotini.

But, fearing that his power would be further reduced and the Consulate would suffer another defeat, he proceeded to… expand. For the first time his list of candidates is not purely Muslim! On the 26ththe position features the name of Eugenia Natsoulidou, the self-identified “Macedonian”, who – wherever she finds herself and wherever she stands – speaks for the non-existent “Macedonian” minority in Greece, whose rights – indeed – are violated!

With this trick, the KIEF attempts to shake off the label of a Muslim “Turkish” party and aspires to identify itself as a body representing all the supposed “minorities” of the country. Nevertheless, his embrace with the Turkish Consulate in Komotini remains so tight that he cannot fool the voters.

The announcement of the candidacy was made in a solemn manner by the so-called “Macedonian” Movement for the Promotion of the Mother Language “Krste Misirkov, whose head is Eugenia Natsoulidou. As he said: “This year the ballot of the KIEF/DEB – Party of Equality, Peace and Friendship, a political party of the ‘Turkish’ (!) minority of Thrace, is not “purely Muslim”, as stated by the Greek media. This year a member of the ‘Macedonian’ (!) ethnic minority participates in the ballot!”. Of course, what he neglected to mention is that the candidacy of the “oppressed Makedonopoulos” was the product of a hard bargain and repeated contacts as neither KIEF wanted her, nor Natsoulidou wanted to participate in a “Turkish” party. But the pressures were great and both sides shook hands of cooperation when recently Evgenia Natsoulidou visited the KIEF offices in Komotini, where she was welcomed by Chidem Asafoglou.

“We will not be able to elect a member of the European Parliament, due to the electoral law in force, but we can count so that some people do not say that we do not exist. We are voting for KIEF in the upcoming European elections. United minorities in Greece will have a stronger voice than separately, so that their self-evident rights will be respected by the Greek state”, the announcement concludes.

When the Prespa agreement was passed, Eugenia Natsoulidou gave an interview during which she was asked how big the “Macedonian” minority is in Greece. Her answer was literally without any logic. “Sources and independent research by various authors and institutions on minority rights give an overall estimate of ‘Macedonians’ in Greece ranging from 100,000 to 250,000 people”!, he asserted. Immediately after, he called on Europe to right the wrongs of the past and make the right choice for a future of peace and prosperity for all its indigenous peoples! It remains to be proven at the ballot box on the 9thher June, how many of the 250,000 will crucify her!

In the meantime, KIEF continues its pre-election campaign, fearing that despite the accession of Eugenia Natsoulidou, it will count even fewer votes at the ballot box. He has already posted a related pre-election video, which is based on the word “courage” and avoids using the words “Turkish” or “Macedonian”, while at the end a photo of the founder Ahmet Sadik appears with an excerpt from his pre-election speech. It should be noted that one of the most recent posts by KIEF had to do with the release of Nikos Michaloliakos.
