With this specific process, which is the result of the cooperation of the Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou and the Deputy Minister of Sports, Yiannis Vroutsis, the level of security at the stadiums is upgraded. At the same time, a significant number of police forces are freed from the task of guarding during the matches.

In a simple and friendly way, citizens can identify their ticket through the Gov.gr Wallet application on their mobile phone. A necessary condition is their registration in the National Register of Communications (E.M.Ep.), at emep.gov.gr before downloading the Gov.gr Wallet application from Google Play or the App Store. The process is described in detail at tickets.gov.gr.

Fans procure their match ticket from the ticketing service providers, without any change in this process.

Subsequently:

· Open the Gov.gr Wallet application

· They select the tickets tab and the plus (+) at the top right

· They choose “Add Adult Ticket”

· They open the mobile camera and scan the QR Code or Barcode of the ticket. Alternatively, they enter the ticket number manually

· The ticket is added to the relevant list of available tickets

After completing the process, by selecting the ticket in the relevant list of Gov.gr Wallet, the QR code or Barcode with which citizens enter the stadiums is displayed. As for minors over 15 years of age, who have personal TaxisNet codes and their mobile phone is registered at emep.gov.gr, they will follow the same procedure.

In the event that citizens want to accompany their minor child under 15 years of age to the match, the ticket addition process takes place after the completion of their own ticket addition process.

More specifically, after opening the Gov.gr Wallet application and selecting the tickets tab:

· They choose “Add Minor Ticket”

· They select the protected member they want to register the ticket for

· Enter the minor’s ticket code

· In “Choose an escort” they select “Me” and the ticket is added to the relevant list of their Gov.gr Wallet

If they wish a third person to accompany the minor child, after entering the minor’s ticket code:

· They choose “Third Person”, instead of “I”, and enter the VAT number of the adult who will accompany the minor

· Then the adult, who has chosen to accompany the minor, receives a notification via e-mail (email) or message (SMS) on his mobile phone, with which he is informed about the request to accompany a minor in Gov.gr Wallet

· Next, the minor’s ticket appears in the ticket list of the accompanying adult

It is pointed out that until the end of the current competition season, i.e. on May 12, 2024, a hybrid entry system will apply to the stadiums, both with the digital ticket in the Gov.gr Wallet and with the conventional ticket, so that sports fans and Sports Corporations have the necessary time to adapt to the new process and prepare properly.
