With 18 speed sections to cover 310 kilometers and a connecting distance of 1,380.69 kilometers, to travel the paved sections that will unite the three countries that make up the Central European Rally (Czech Republic, Austria and Germany), the Championship World Rally will begin this Thursday, the penultimate date of the year.

After the symbolic start at Prague Castle, in the capital of the Czech Republic, two speed segments wait to take the first test. This is the segment at the Velka Chuchle racecourse, 2.55 kilometers long, and the Rondkurs Klatory section, 8.90 kilometers long, which will take the first step towards a race that puts the Drivers’ World Championship at stake, between two men from Toyota, Kalle Rovanpera and Elfyn Evans. Rovanpera has 217 points, against 186 for Evans, with 31 points separating them and with 60 at stake (this race and the Japan Rally, which will close the season between November 16 and 19).

The European Central Rally, unlike other competitions, will compete in sections between Thursday and Sunday, covering roads in three countries, in the middle of autumn, where rain, wind and leaves on the road can play their role when it comes to driving. . The test has 68 registered and will have its Service Park in Passau, in Lower Bavaria, Germany, a country that has not seen the World Rally since 2019. Likewise, this test tries to compensate for the lack of the RACC Rally of Spain, which already It does not integrate the calendar as it once did.
