“TeamQuiz” has already become a good tradition of Student’s Day in Timiryazevka. Every year, more than 100 students – representatives of all institutes – get together to have fun and compete in the speed and correctness of answers to various questions.
This year, the intellectual battle took place in a new student space – the co-working area of the main student canteen, created on the initiative of the rector, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev. The game consisted of seven rounds, in each of which the participants answered questions from seven categories: “About everything in the world”, “Musical”, “My native country is wide”, “Betting”, “Cinema”, “Academy” and “Blitz” “.
17 student teams competed for the championship. Their competition was the team of the Department of Youth Policy and Educational Activities, which took part in the competition for the second year in a row. At the end of the game, the “Golden Seeds” team, which included students from the Institute of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, the Institute of Technology and the “Freedom” support group, scored the most points.
For those wishing to show their creative abilities, the holiday program included a karaoke battle. The competition took place in an unusual format – it was important not only the ability to sing, but also to show knowledge of famous hits, and to show a non-standard approach to performance. The jury assessed not only the charisma, but also the teamwork of the participants. The best team of the evening was the team from the Institute of Land Reclamation, Water Management and Construction named after A.N. Kostyakova.
“The festive program turned out to be really varied, everyone could have fun and benefit themselves. I would even say that this is a new format of celebration that lifts the mood for the next semester,” noted Marina Kozlova, a student at the Institute of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. The girl was very impressed by the activities of the holiday; she not only took part in a quiz and karaoke battle, but also filled out a symbolic “Test Book” at the student celebrations that took place earlier.
After the karaoke battle, the university premiered the film “At the Command of the Pike” on a large multimedia screen for students.
