After announcing its return to Israel, charter airline Wizz Air finally indicated that it would cancel hundreds of flights from Israel to many destinations in Europe – and also reduce the frequency of flights to other destinations. Flights to Italy, Bulgaria, Greece, Poland and other European countries are canceled until further notice.

Tens of thousands of Israelis who had already purchased tickets, including for the Passover holiday at the end of April, will receive a cancellation notice in the coming days. In the meantime, the company has removed the ability to order plane tickets online to and from Israel.

Wizz Air canceled all of its flights in January and has since announced that it will resume operations in Israel in early March on a limited basis, with three weekly flights to six destinations.
