The native of Wels has been a committee member and apprentice representative in the state guild since 2020.
Geisbauer runs the company Haircutters Hair Style Service, which was founded in 1980 by his father Josef. There are now four locations with a total of 26 employees in Traun and Linz. Geisbauer is also a trainer at Wifi and at L’Oréal Austria. He is a member of the expert jury at the annual state and national hairdressing competitions.
“The training of young professionals is very important to me personally,” says Geisbauer, who, as state guild master, wants to promote a strong image for the hairdressing industry. He is supported by his deputies Dieter Kohler and Claudia Polz.

There is also a change at the top of the state guild of carpenters and wood designers. Klaus Weissengruber, the previous deputy, will take over from Alois Kitzberger on January 1st. The 55-year-old from Ried in der Riedmark joined his parents’ business in 1987 and took over Weissengruber furniture production in 1999. Weissengruber has been active in the Chamber of Commerce since 2005, including on the guild committee and as chairman of the final apprenticeship examinations.
As of January 1st, his deputy will be Josef Loy, managing director of the Loy carpentry shop in Aurach am Hongar. The professional group spokesman for wood designers, Karl Mitheis, managing partner of Karl Mitheis GmbH & Co KG Holzwarenproduktion from Auberg, remains deputy state guild master.
