Revealed this summer during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, Wo Long : Fallen Dynasty remains quite mysterious. Developed at Koei Tecmo by Team Ninja, this spiritual son of the Nioh has just shared a new trailer which focuses on the gameplay of the game, which is still scheduled for release in early 2023.
Monsters and magic are on the program
In this new trailer of just over a minute, the developers unfold a summary of the possibilities that will be available to the player. Thus, the hero will not be confined to a single type of weapon since we can see him wielding both a flaming sword, a spear or even two swords at the same time.
In addition to this arsenal, we discover the ability to use powers such as summoning a phoenix to help us or even bring down lightning. And it won’t be too much given the many monsters that there will be to face in this adventure.
Heavily armed enemies, winged creatures and aggressive tigers, the game’s bestiary seems varied, as well as the environments. This new preview features a number of locations that should appeal to fans of the genre.
As a reminder, the game will put you in the shoes of an anonymous soldier who has to face the many demons who have invaded the Three Kingdoms, all in a re-reading of the Han dynasty tinged with dark fantasy. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is expected in early 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. It will be available the day of its release in the Xbox Game Pass.
