The state of Salzburg reports a new wolf crack. A wolf killed nine sheep from a flock in Maria Alm-Hinterthal, including a lamb. It can be assumed that it is the wolf that killed two goats in Hinterthal on May 22, said wolf officer Hubert Stock.
DNA analysis is now being used to determine whether it is the same animal. That would mean that the wolf is still in the area. According to the state, a sample has already been taken.
On May 14, a dead lamb fell victim to a wolf in Taxenbach-Eschenau. This crack is also confirmed by a DNA analysis of the country.
