Woman arrested after burning her 11-year-old daughter’s hands

The victim suffered burns to the upper part of the wrist.

Officials from the San Francisco Municipal Police (PoliSur) arrested a woman for allegedly burning the hands of her 11-year-old daughter, in Zulia.

The incident occurred in the El Soler Urbanization, lot 4, of the José Domingo Rus parish on 200 street.

It is presumed that the detainee used a fork to cause burns on the girl’s wrist.

Police sources identified the suspect, this following receiving a complaint before the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (Comdepro), for child abuse.

Therefore, Polisur commissions on patrol work and Comdepro officials went to the minor’s home.

Once on the site they found the minor with injuries, caused by her parent.

The 11-year-old girl was transferred to the Doctor Manuel Noriega Hospital, where she received medical attention.

The woman was detained at the San Francisco Municipal Police Police Operations Center.

A prosecutor from the Public Ministry with competence in the matter and Children and Adolescents will take the case.
