Woman denounces that her ex-partner, an Army lieutenant colonel, has limited access to her children

Through a video broadcast on YouTube in the last few hours, a woman named Karen Johana Daza denounced that her ex-partner, Lieutenant Colonel Fabián Hernando Niño Ramírez, has limited access to her children.

In the recording, Daza affirms that she has been in asylum in the United States for two years after suffering episodes of domestic violence and says that during that time she has not been able to communicate as she wishes with the minors.

“We have been legally married for nine years (but) in the last two years we have not been together. I was forced to leave the country due to events of domestic violence that occurred in my marriage. Currently, I am in asylum in Florida, United States. They are two years in which I have not had contact with my children as I would like. It’s been two years in which I’ve had very limited communication. I have access to a fixed number, where I cannot see them, ”says the woman, who assures that she has not been able to see them by video call for almost a year and a half and that her ex-partner does not even send her photos of them.

“A year and four months ago I have not had the opportunity to see them by video call. I don’t have a picture of my kids from this year because he won’t send it to me. A few days ago I was able to get a picture of them and I could see how big they are”.

Additionally, she assures that she has sent plane tickets for the minors to travel to see her with their father, but it has been in vain: “I have done everything possible to improve communication. I have sent technological means so that they can communicate with me by video call, I have sent plane tickets for them to come see me, even paying him a plane ticket, but he has not come nor does he intend to do so.

In the clip, he also affirms that his ex-partner wants minors to recognize his new sentimental partner as his mother. “I know that they urge my children to recognize her as a mother and her family as a natural family. I don’t know what they do on weekends. I have no contact with him, I have no contact with his family, with the people who care for his children. I know that he leaves the country, travels. I don’t know who takes care of my children.”

Karen Daza points out that she has communicated these facts to several entities, but says that she has not been able to get them to listen to her. “I have taken this information to the Attorney General’s Office, Family Welfare, the Army, my children’s school, but I have not been able to get them to listen to me. He has training in law and perhaps because of that, because of his uniform, because of his rank, because of his position, he always manages to get away with it. In this process he has been very advantaged, ”she maintains.

He adds that he wants the minors to be assessed because he assures that his ex-partner manipulates them.

“I need my children to have a parental alignment assessment done because I have felt confusion in identifying roles when I talk to them on the phone. I know that Fabian uses emotional manipulation on children to cause confusion in them. My son has reproached me for why he told him lies when I told him that I am his mother. He has taken advantage of his innocence,” he says.

Finally, she points out that she wants to gain custody of her little ones and have them with her: “I have a modest job here that will allow me to guarantee their rights and give them a quality life. I want to gain their full custody and have them here with me.”

SEMANA contacted the Army to find out a response to the issue of the colonels and they indicated that they are working on a pronouncement.
