The arrest of the murderer was recorded on Bolívar avenue, Las Acacias park sector of El Vigía.
Ana Herrera Herrera (22), was murdered from multiple penetrating puncture wounds, on 15th Avenue in El Vigía, Mérida state.
After reporting the murder on August 28, commissions from the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc), attached to the Coordination of Investigations of Crimes Against People El Vigía, carried out the pertinent investigations and arrested the person responsible for the act.
Out of jealousy, MM Rivero Roa (24), attacked Ana on the day of the crime, motivated by the fact that the now-deceased woman had a romantic relationship with the victimizer’s partner.
Upon learning of the infidelity, Rivero was filled with anger and decided to confront Ana and used a knife to inflict multiple wounds on her, leaving her lifeless and then fleeing the scene.

The case was made available to the Public Ministry of the entity.
