SANTIAGO DE CHILE.- A woman was arrested after taking an agent’s gun and shooting at a security guard in the main fruit and vegetable supply market.

This Monday morning a woman was involved in a shooting at the ‘Lo Valledor’ market, located in the municipality of Pedro Aguirre Cerdá, with three injured.

The woman had been detained when she tried to skip the police checkpoint in the market after it announced that entry is prohibited to people who do not have a Chilean identity card or card.

After her arrest, the 54-year-old woman was being taken to a patrol car when she managed to take the gun from an officer and fired repeatedly, wounding three people, including a security guard at the facility, none of them seriously.

The events were broadcast live by several television channels that were on the scene after the shooter’s arrest. One of the injured is a cameraman from the channel Chilevision.

The Chilean Police He indicated that the detainee is a Chilean national and has a history of shoplifting from a supermarket and attacking other agents.
