68 days after losing the final against England (1:2 aet), our EM heroines played their first home game after such an exciting tournament. In the new edition of the semi-final against France (2-1) there is a 2-1 win at the end.

Thanks to top scorer Alexandra Popp (31)!

Out of nowhere, Poppi strikes just before the break: she heads a corner kick into the net to make it 1-0 (45′). When she cheers, she shouts out her joy and clenches her fist. ARD expert Nia Künzer: “You can tell she’s full of adrenaline again.”

After the break, Popp completed a combination worth seeing to make it 2-0 (48th minute) – POPPelpack!

France only managed to get a late consolation goal (85′) thanks to a penalty converted by Asseyi. At the end there is a deserved 2:1 victory!
