Work on the new Estavayer-le-Lac station will start this spring. The building permit is now enforceable, according to a press release. No more opposition is possible.
The Gare-Casino project, developed jointly by the municipality of Estavayer and Transports publics fribourgeois (TPF) will extend between the bus station and the Place du Casino. It provides for a new bus station with 3 platforms, 40 housing units, 1,500 m2 of shops, offices and 105 parking spaces. Pedestrians and cyclists will benefit from an underpass under the current road.
The costs amount to 35 million francs. According to the schedule, the end of the project is scheduled for 2025.
