Workers highlight the installation of the Trade Union Freedom Table

Asunción, IP Agency.- The Government’s progress in protecting labor rights was evaluated by union organizations and authorities of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (MTESS). During the meeting held this Tuesday at the aforementioned institution, worker leaders highlighted the importance of the installation of the Freedom of Association Roundtable, in which the country’s main union centers participate.

This space has been fundamental to discuss the modernization of administrative processes related to the formalization of union organizations, as well as to strengthen freedom of association, in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code and the international treaties signed by Paraguay.

The meeting was led by the Vice Minister of Labor, César Segovia, accompanied by his team of directors. Representatives of various union confederations, such as the Unitary Central of Workers (CUT), Central Unitary of Authentic Workers (CUT-A), General Central of Workers (CGT), Central Union of Workers of Paraguay (CESITEP), Paraguayan Confederation of Workers and the National Workers’ Central (CNT), were present at the discussion.
