Prometheus: Last chance to enter the dystopian world of “Prometheus” by Ari Biniaris, as the performances end on Tuesday, February 13 at the Gloria Theatre. This contemporary reading delves into issues of mental and social isolation and approaches the myth of Prometheus within the confines of an authoritarian maximum security prison, where a dark chronicle of a series of interrogations unfolds.
At the heart of the play are the regime’s relentless visits to the imprisoned Prometheus, composing a haunting immersion in an age of totalitarian practices and perceptions. The performance also includes lyrics by the rapper Agnostos Heimonas, who is known for his anti-dogmatic style and the socio-political content of his songs. Last performance: Tuesday, February 13.

A tour will follow in major cities of Greece, with the first stop being Patras and the Pantheon Theater, where it will perform for only 3 performances, Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 February 2024. Lamia, Kozani, Serres, Chania will follow , Heraklion, Thessaloniki, etc. Nikos Psarras and Marina Aslanoglou perform the two roles in a recital. The Kiss of Spider Woman: Due to great success, the METHEXIS theater company is extending the performances of Manuel Puig’s shocking novel “Kiss of the Spider Woman”. Athena Panagouli, Epitaph: The performances of Yiannis Soldatou’s play “Athinas Panagoulis, Epitaphios”, directed by Kostis Kapelonis, with Mania Papadimitriou in the role of Athena Panagoulis, continue at the Act Seven Theater from tomorrow, February 7 and every Wednesday with free admission. The play stars the leading figure of the anti-dictatorship struggle, Alexandros Panagoulis, through the memories of his mother, Athena, who at the same time comments on the most important events of recent Greek history. From tomorrow 7 February to 13 March and every Wednesday at 21.15.

The play, presented for the first time by Thomas Ostermayer at Saubine in 2015 to rave reviews, is directed by the artistic director of the Stathmos Theatre, Manos Karatzogiannis.
