On March 6, 2022, Ajay Banga, the United States candidate for the presidency of the World Bank Group, is expected in Abidjan to meet with the leaders of the African Development Bank Group.
The management of the African Development Bank Group, led by its president, Akinwumi Adesina, will try to open a new page with the World Bank following distant relations with David Malpass, resigning president of the institution who will leave office in June 2023. Mr. Banga announced this week that he will visit several countries and organizations to learn more regarding their priorities and concerns.
