Downhill world champion Jasmine Flury ended the season early. The Swiss ski racer suffered a blow to her right knee during the race in Crans-Montana, and on Friday she announced that it was due to cartilage damage.

The 30-year-old did not make the trip to the speed competitions in Kvitfjell due to medical clarifications, and the current fifth place in the downhill rankings will now also miss the World Cup final in Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
