The Emirates Red Crescent Authority’s organization of the conference coincides with the Year of Sustainability announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and within the UAE’s preparations to host the twenty-eighth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change “COP28”. During its organization, the Authority seeks to anticipate the future of preserving graces, enhancing international cooperation, and working to adopt a sustainable approach to save them from waste.
Today, the authority held a press conference at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi to announce the conference, in the presence of His Excellency Hammoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, Acting Secretary General of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, and a number of leaders and officials of the authority, and representatives of sponsors and strategic partners.

He stressed that the conference is an opportunity to shed light on the legacy of sustainability rooted in the history of the Emirates, and whose foundations were laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul in peace,” and who presented many initiatives to protect the environment.
He pointed out that the Preservation of Grace project, which was launched in 2004, is considered one of the pioneering initiatives that the Red Crescent Authority has consistently adopted to promote the values of solidarity and social compassion, and to strengthen the bridges of communication between benefactors, low-income people and needy families.
