The Portugal clinched their ticket to the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 following winning 2-0 once morestUruguay. Two goals scored in the second half, not by the inevitable Ronaldo, but by Bruno Fernandes, including one from the penalty spot.

In the other Group H game, the Ghana won 3-1 once morest the South Korea. The last day on Friday will be rich in suspense: Ghana and Uruguay who face each other as well as South Korea can still qualify for the 8th.

euronews correspondent in Doha, Aadel Haleem, gives an update on the day’s other results:“The ninth day of the World Cup was also marked by the victory of the Brazil once morest the Suisse : 1-0. The Selecao, first in group G, is now qualified for the round of 16 of the tournament. Facing a Brazil, deprived of its superstar Neymar, who is nursing an ankle injury, the Swiss selection, led by Murat Yakin, did not go far from a draw. It was finally Casemiro who gave his team the winning goal in the 83rd minute. The other match in Group G between the Serbia and the Cameroon was more spectacular. While the Serbs were leading 3-1, the Cameroonians managed to get back into the game and equalize. It was perhaps the best game since the start of the tournament.”
