Abu Dhabi, 30 October / WAM / His Excellency Iñigo de Palacio, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to the UAE, expressed his confidence that the World Media Congress 2023 will contribute to writing a new chapter in cooperation between global media and exchanging experiences regarding the adoption of modern media technologies.
His Excellency said in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the occasion of the second edition of the World Media Congress 2023, during the period from 14 to 16 November at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), that the global event will provide an opportunity to discuss and find solutions to the common challenges faced by institutions. Media efforts around the world, such as combating misinformation, adapting to digital transformation, and ensuring the independence of editorial content.
He added: “Congress will help our media to reach a better understanding of the new media strategy in the UAE, which is a very ambitious strategy.” He pointed out that cooperation between the media sectors in the UAE and Spain will enhance the comprehensive bilateral relations between the two countries.
He explained that this cooperation will help bridge cultural gaps and promote common interests, noting that there are many ways through which media institutions in both countries can work together to promote common interests, such as joint media production, content exchange, cultural exchanges, and participation in events. Conferences, educational activities, and cooperation in social campaigns where the goals of the relevant institutions in the two countries converge.
The Spanish ambassador stressed that the media institutions in the two countries can contribute to creating a more informed, interconnected and cooperative global community, which ultimately strengthens bilateral relations.
He said that he looked forward to the World Media Congress facilitating the direct exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices, which would contribute to a deeper understanding and more effective cooperation by consolidating relationships between the participating personalities that could lead to future cooperation, joint projects, and the exchange of information.
